⚡ Improved

• Broken workspace files no longer block startup. If workspace recovery cannot be completed safely, BetterStage opens with temporary workspace storage while preserving the original files.

• Factory Reset recovery is safer. Unfinished cleanup no longer traps BetterStage behind a startup dialog. The app opens safely and retries cleanup on a later launch.

• Save Workspace remains responsive around slow apps. The save panel now shows capture progress without freezing while waiting for unresponsive windows.

• Settings are easier to navigate. Lower-frequency groups can be collapsed, and the Stage-switch-on-activation option has clearer wording.

• Shortcuts, gestures, and drag tracking recover more reliably. A missed mouse-up no longer causes the next cross-display drag to be ignored.

• Tabbed Layout divider drags are smoother, even with several tabs open.

• Full-screen windows are handled more smoothly.

🔧 Fixes

• New windows stay on the display where they open. Without an App Routing rule, BetterStage now respects the window’s actual display instead of pulling it to the last-focused display.

• Returned displays no longer remain incorrectly in the Offline Shelf. BetterStage now recognizes when a display is live regardless of the active Stage, restoring automatically or exposing Restore Now as appropriate.

• Windows no longer remain hidden after Stage switches. BetterStage repairs several visibility failures that could leave windows inaccessible until manually recovered.

• Native terminal tabs stop bouncing back in Tabbed Layout. Switching an app’s native tabs no longer causes BetterStage to restore the previous tab.

• Tabbed and Bento interactions are more polished. Tab strips remain stable during layout changes, resize handles stay hidden over fullscreen windows, and resize previews appear on the correct display.

• AI Staging applies plans more reliably. Delayed responses, cancellation, invalid output, and Undo are handled more consistently.

• Full-size Tabbed Layout windows now switch with their Stage instead of being left behind.

• Pinned Display panes no longer briefly appear above your apps during a Stage switch.

• Harmless display updates no longer interrupt your workspace or trigger an unnecessary restore prompt.

• Repeated sleep or lock notifications no longer risk crashing BetterStage.
