How to pick Standard vs European shortcuts

On first launch, pick Standard or European in Choose Your Keyboard Layout. Standard uses Opt+1–9; European uses Ctrl+Opt+1–9 so Option can still type characters.

To change later, open Settings → Shortcuts and use Keyboard Layout (Standard, European, or Custom if you edited individual keys).

Mouse and trackpad bindings stay the same when you switch keyboard layout.
