How to back up and restore settings

Steps

Open Settings → General → Advanced → Settings Backup and click Export… to save a JSON file.

On the other Mac, click Import…, choose the file, confirm Import, and use the offered relaunch when ready.

Backups include shortcuts, including Saved Workspace bindings, App Exceptions, window rules, display preferences, recipes, and custom TabStack layouts. Stages, windows, licenses, API keys, Saved Workspaces, and Custom Action files stay on each Mac. Reassign Snap Wheel Custom Action slots after import.
