How to open, use, and customize the Snap Wheel

   Middle-click to open the Snap Wheel at the pointer (toggle by default).

   Hover an inner-ring placement or an outer-ring submenu — More Actions, Send to Stage, Switch Stage, Workspace, or Window Modes — then click to run it. AI Staging lives under Workspace.

   Middle-click again to close.

   Tap with four fingers on a Magic Trackpad to open the wheel (toggle by default).

   Hover a slice and click or tap to run it. Four-finger tap again to close.

   Open Settings → Snap Wheel. The first group is Activation triggers — every listed trigger works at the same time.

   Click Add Trigger to add CTRL + OPT (hold), Middle-click (hold or toggle), a Trackpad gesture (4 Finger Tap, 5 Finger Tap, 4 Finger Click, 5 Finger Click, TipTap Left, or TipTap Right), or Custom… to record a key, mouse button, or modifier-only combo.

   For keyboard and mouse triggers, set Open style to Hold or Toggle. Hold keyboard triggers also have Open delay. Trackpad triggers stay toggle-only.

   Mouse triggers can use Title bar only and Block default click. If a mouse or trackpad input is already a shortcut, BetterStage asks whether to Move to Snap Wheel.

   Stay in Settings → Snap Wheel and use Wheel items.

   Click a slice to change its Action. Use Position to rotate it around its ring. Reset Layout restores the defaults.

   Icon edits apply to Custom Actions and custom submenus. Creating those actions is a separate how-to.

   Under Style, set Wheel material to Glass or Classic.

   Classic unlocks Ring colors for Inner and Outer. Glass uses a fixed palette.
