How to use a different Window Mode per monitor

Steps

  1. 1

    On the laptop, switch that display to macOS Native from the menu bar (pointer on the laptop) or the Snap Wheel.

  2. 2

    On the ultrawide, switch that display to TabStack and pick a layout if the chooser appears.

  3. 3

    Switch stages — each stage remembers its own mode per monitor. Opt+B cycles the focused window’s monitor.
