How to create or remove stages

Method

Create

Open the Stages Bar and click the + card, or press Opt+N (European layout: Ctrl+Opt+N).

The menu bar New Stage command does the same. The stage-card context menu does not include New Stage.

Free includes 3 stages; Pro includes 9.

Method

Remove

Open the Stages Bar, hover the card, and click ×. Or right-click the card and choose Delete.

Press Opt+X (Close Current Stage) to close only the stage you are on.

The menu bar Delete Stage command closes the current stage.

Method

Create and send

Drag a window onto the + card on the Stages Bar, or open Snap Wheel → Send to Stage → Send to New Stage.

That creates a stage and sends the window in one step.

Windows from a deleted stage move to the first remaining stage in bar order — not necessarily the stage you are looking at.
