How to use macOS Spaces inside a Stage

Steps

Add a Desktop on a display with Mission Control as usual.

Arrange windows on that Desktop. Within the current Stage, each Desktop keeps its own Window Mode, panes, and windows.

Switch Desktops to see another layout in the same Stage; switch Stages with Opt+1–9 to change the whole set of windows.
For a simpler setup, use one Desktop per display with several Stages. Saved Workspaces remember Spaces and recreate missing ones when loaded.
