How to exclude an app from staging

Published by BetterStage · Instructions for our macOS app; detailed feature reference is linked below.

Steps

  1. 1

Open Settings → App Exceptions → Exclude from Staging, then click Add App… and pick the app.

  2. 2

That app stays visible on every stage and is not hidden when you switch away.

  3. 3

If a TabStack covers it, open the Snap Wheel and use Raise Floating Windows (the live label is Bring floating windows to front).

  4. 4

The menu bar item Exclude App from Auto-Tiling writes this same list. Float in Window Modes is a different list.
