How to open the Stages Bar

Press Opt+Up to open the Stages Bar.

Press it again or press Esc to dismiss it.

Click the BetterStage icon in the menu bar.

Choose Show Stages Bar.

Pointer

Move the pointer to the top edge in the center third of the screen until the bar appears.

Leave that edge to dismiss a hot-edge open.
A bar opened with Opt+Up or the menu stays until you press Opt+Up, press Esc, or click a stage card. Settings → Stages controls Top-edge access, Reveal delay, Avoid the display notch, and Show Stages Bar after switching. After a hot-edge reveal the bar stays open about 2 seconds after you leave the edge — that grace is not a setting.
