How to create and edit a layout preset
Steps

Open Settings → Window Modes → Preset Layouts and click New Layout, or choose Create New Layout from the layout chooser.

Duplicate a built-in with Duplicate or Duplicate to Customize, then edit the splits.

Built-in presets are protected and cannot be deleted.
