How to split a pane by dropping on an edge
Steps

Turn TabStack on for the monitor.

Drag a window’s title bar to the left, right, top, or bottom 20% of the target pane until the Split overlay appears. The tab strip is not a split target.
- 3
Release to create a new pane on that edge. This is pane-edge drop, not macOS edge-drag snap.
